Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the product is used so we can improve it. We do not enable advertising features, and we avoid sending data that directly identifies you (such as names or email addresses). Analytics data may be processed on Google servers outside Australia.

You can opt out of analytics by blocking cookies in your browser or using Google’s opt-out tools. If you clear cookies or use a different device/browser, a new anonymous identifier may be created.

Sharing and Disclosure

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We may share data with trusted service providers who assist our operations under confidentiality obligations.
• We may disclose information to comply with law or protect rights, safety, and property.
• We may share aggregated or de-identified data for analytics and quality improvement.

Location and GPS Data

AUDrive collects precise location data only when you actively use the GPS practice recording feature. Location data is used to record your driving practice routes, provide real-time navigation, and analyse your driving performance. Background location access is requested solely to ensure uninterrupted recording during practice sessions.

You can disable location access at any time through your device settings. Without location access, GPS recording features will be unavailable, but you can still browse routes and other content.

Data Retention and Security

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above and take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen within the app. When you request account deletion:

• Your account will be immediately deactivated and you will be signed out.
• Any active subscriptions will be cancelled.
• Your account enters a 30-day recovery period during which you can restore it by signing in again.
• After 30 days, your account and personal data (name, email, login credentials, GPS recordings, favourites, and notifications) will be permanently deleted.
• Content you contributed to the community (such as submitted driving test routes that have been reviewed and published) may be retained as part of the platform's public content, with your identity disassociated.

Your Rights

You may access, update, or request deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable law. You can withdraw consent for data collection by revoking permissions in your device settings or deleting your account. To exercise your rights or ask questions, contact us at [email protected].

Children

AUDrive is not directed to children under the age where parental consent is required by law. If you believe we have collected personal information from a child, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. We encourage you to review it periodically.
